The latest episode of kanmusu anime Kantai Collection has seen to its diverse flotilla of cute girls being reassembled into entirely new fleets, with main heroine Fubuki’s group members seeming to bear significant resentment toward one another – which will hopefully be resolved soon to prevent any further tragedies.

Since 'Buki becomes main character in the anime, they upgrade Buki ships in the newest update (better stats) in the game.

This whole episode felt really pointless. It also basically dumped the cast of the last few episodes and nullified fubuki's progress part of her original torpedo squad. They also royally messed up Kaga's personality, changing her from unemotive professional to arrogant prick just to play up the fight with Zuikaku.
That Kaga personality was fine, she acts more like jerk in the official novels an 4koma to nearly everyone that isn't Akagi.
Nullified her progress? lol no. Her staying in the Torpedo squadron is actually the one nullifying her progress. Do you even remember what Fubuki's dreams the most in the anime? Being in the same Fleet as Akagi.
and Lol. Kaga is one of my mains in the game, and guess what line she says the most? "Don't compare me with the 5th Carrier Division".
Also that line stems from the arrogance of Kaga's crew in the past.
So what if her dream was to be in Akagi's fleet? The last like 4 episodes have been about her bonding with the girls of her torpedo squadron. All that gets dumped out the window now for a new crew.
Also, I know Kaga's lines well enough, I use her in my main fleet as well. You know why she says it? Because its a rational assessment that she's (in game and historically) a veteran and Zuikaku is the hotheaded green recruit of the carriers. You know what's her other major character train ingame? She's deadpan. The entire thing could easily have been fixed with just some minor tweaks in the was she responded. But, in service of emphasizing Zuikaku, Kaga's subtleties get thrown under the bus. Just like how Haruna's personality got tossed out to emphasize Kongou's personality last episode. Its sloppy writing.
More girls to sink and increase the drama ..
