The upcoming live-action movie for ongoing assassination anime Ansatsu Kyoushitsu has just received its first trailer, showcasing some questionably lackluster CGI for its main tentacled antagonist – but sure to cater to extreme fans of the series none-the-less.

This actually may be a really fun movie if you watch it with no big expectations. Just turn off your brain and watch the mayhem.
I know most people in Japan are, well, Japanese (and also Koreans, Koreans are the most common non-Japanese ethnicy in Japan), but couldn't they find an actual European woman (who can act and speak fluent Japanese, obviously) to play Irina?
Oh well, at least she's pretty and looks the part besides being Japanese.

I agree. The CGI quality looks more made-for TV-movie-grade than major-motion-picture-grade. If only they could somehow get the guys from Weta Works or Lucasarts to do the CG...
maybe that's the repercussion of trying to make korosensei's expression/movement EXACTLY like in the manga instead of the anime

Death Note is really old and had better CGI than this...
Different when the CG characters (Ryuk/Rem) don't appear in almost every scene. News flash you don't have to spend as much money if you use less CG, unlike a title when the CG character will be in 99% plus doing crazy shit.
