I don't know WHERE the hell you got this list but it's NOT 4chan's top 10 list. 4chan's official list (which was posted on the 10) goes like this:

Ping Pong was removed from the list becasue people were voting on it ironically. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun came in 12th overall. And people HATED Space Dandy on 4chan.
Yes,.. this list makes more sense. But it's still missing No Game No Life, Zankyou no Terror and Mushishi to be believable.

Ya, this is actually quite correct.
Ping Pong the animation was always there at top whenever there was anything of a "Best of 2014" thread.
Just like Boku no Pico will always be recommended if someone looks for a good anime.

When it was announced, I mistook Ping Pong The Animation for the old slapstick/wtf comedy anime Ping Pong Club and kept my distance. But it's a nice suprise that I missed something of notice last year then. Probably the first time a Sankaku list has ever been helpful to me lol.

Can't believe the 2ch list didn't include Parasyte. That was the only show that was considered a Masterpiece for me. Pin Pong was good, but the stakes weren't the same.

This was the 4ch list (western), not the 2ch (japanese) list. The 2ch list left off parasyte entirely.
I like this list, Space Dandy,
Amaburi, Parasyte, Barakamon and Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka? are on it. I agree with most of this.

I haven't used 4chan in years, probably 4 years now. Mainly down to the fact there's too many people posting on shit. Its like you make the effort to respond to something and within 10 seconds said post is buried on the 3rd or 4th page because so many people are posting.
It seems to be a reasonable list. I'm a little impressed that Reconguista in G didn't find its way though.

because in order to understand the show
you have to have a liking for storytelling, character development, cinematic visuals.
people who obviously couldn't grasp the show will simply tell you:
"It really isn't."

No, just people who like to feel superior to others will fool themselves into thinking this was any good.
Storytelling, character development and cinematic visuals matter jackshit if the story is crap and the characters unlikeable. Espescially if the show already looks like complete shit.
It looked gorgeous, and especially the quality of animation was superb.
The problem is, that this show actually tries to be art instead of a mass product, and this is not for everyone.

Did the shorts from the animator expo somehow not qualify for any of these lists? Some of them are damn good.
Haven't checked the new releases since early December, but 1st installment Dragon Dentist is my fav of them all by far. Like a cross of Last Exile and Seirei no Moribito. It felt like it would make an amazing 52 episode series.
Carnage could have been a lot better had they proved some more background.
Hill Climb Girl was pretty fun, except for the shitty animation. Kinda makes me wish Yowamushi Pedal had a female protag.
Anyway, as 7min shorts they can hardly compete against a full series in terms of enjoyment value.
They do have a very high rewatch value, though. Also.. I enjoyed some of them more than most series I watched. (And I watched thousands.) Especially Yamadeloid. That one just rocks every time I watch it.
Sure, one of these shorts might outdo any single episode of any recent anime, but the episodes add up (if you're enjoying the series in the first place, that is)... it's not a fair competition IMO.
I now totally feel like checking the new additions though.
