Its far too early for Japan to be doing these polls, we're only 3 episodes in. There's plenty of time for a good show to go bad, certainly ive seen it a lot.
From what it seems, this isn't a poll. These are statistics measuring the total number of recordings per show, and they have been ordered from highest to lowest frequency.
I think the poll is based on the show's popularity, not quality.
Well of course. What else could they be ranking them by otherwise? How much like every other anime each one is?
Exactly
Agreed!
but Jojo's in it's most popular half of the most popular arc. Ain't nothing gonna stop'it!
JoJo being in the number two spot is nice, but where the heck is Death Parade?
Great fucking question! I guess it's 21. There are more anime this season than are on this list. I guess people weren't really watching it.
Why I'm not surprised Kancolle is on very top? Thanks to Shimakaze.
Then it really shouldn't be at the top yet, given how little Shimakaze (and Amatsukaze) there's been in the anime so far.
But so far Kancolle had been solid. Lots of fanservice (game mechanics gag), character gags, aircraft hell and sinking DDs.
as a kankore player...i laughed at the puns and gags, but felt very sad for kisaragi... i can relate. =(
She barely has any screen time.
So what, her black g-string are legendary.
I actually prefer Amatsukaze over her.
amatsukaze as a character design and personality is less annoying.
They definitely needed to do this later in the season, at least halfway into it. This represents people watching new shows first. By the end of the season, the most popular anime would be way farther up.
I am not familiar enough with Japanese handling of anime. Recording can mean two things: a) I want to watch it repeatedly, b) I can't be bothered to watch it when it airs so I postpone it. Where b) may indicate an inconvenient timeslot or a not-very-favourite show or the recording person.
Since this statistic disregards live viewings, I wonder how much skew is there which conceals a true popularity ranking.
Shigatsu should be much much higher
Maybe people just realized how blaise the anime really is, and finally moved on to better things? See also Parasyte.
Assassination Classroom deserves top 10
Not everyone's a stinking fujoshi.
Assasination classroom a fujoshi showanime? Did you read the manga or watch the anime properly?.
The manga mixes gakuen, action, drama and humor; and the Nagisa's "otokonoko" condition is used like a gag, not like homo fanservice.
Lol I thought the image was Kaori from Shigatsu at first
Japón, tú antes molabas...
sus rankigs siempre han sido asi -_-
¡Anda! respuestas en español en sankaku complex; como mola :)
meh~ como si hubieran cosas mejores.
:/
World Break is on there? my god. -_-
Kamisama Kiss is there too. -_-
Yes, and it's a disgrace how low the ranking is.
Ypu are right. They shpuld be way lpwer.
I saw two episodes of World Break and was so incredibly bored with each one.
Does it get better or more mediocre?
I'm even more surprised that Absolute Duo made the list. It's boring. How they managed to make an anime about battle school so uninteresting, enough to make me subconsciously reach out for a book, is beyond me.
Kantai joined the "episode 3" club.
Where's Death Parade?
Fujoshi preferred Nagisa from AssClass.
Of course, air time matters a lot. Not as many people will bother recording a show if it's on when they're watching TV anyway. Also, shows with streaming options in Japan will take a hit, especially if they air web-first.
1. well that was obvious (but surprising now that has tragedy mixed in)
6. haven't watched it but will tomorrow (only have 7 win2015 shows so far...shit season, huh)
9, 16, 17, 19, 20 the others I'm watching
most of these 11-20 shows will somehow make it to top 10 in several weeks....they always do somehow.
"Most recorded anime" is it referring people actually recording it with their TV boxes and in a sense pirating it?
I'm pretty sure that tv stations give the legitimate providers license to allow their users to digitally record it.
Durarara X2 FTW All other anime on this list suck.
Shame Durarara hasn't held up all that well over the years. Now it's not much different from any other anime with imoutos and too-cool-for-school characters.
@Fafner in the Azure: Dead Aggressor EXODUS
I still to this day don't understand how this is getting a 26 episode season. It was good don't get me wrong but the last season was like late 2004, its been a decade if you don't include that movie. It was hardly super popular. Why revive something so old?
They should have done Stellvia Season 2 instead,
In term of fan base, Fafner has a steady one. After the movie, there was fan meeting event every year. The BD/DVD sale was also good (the movie's bds were sold out and now reprinted). Also, there were something like the free streamings in Nico, which gave positive feedbacks. So it'd be not a bad business to produce another season.
If I recall, Stellvia had issues with production, which is the reason why it ended the way it did. I would like to see a real conclusion to Stellvia as well, but yeah... The Director or Producer said that ain't happening.
9. Yuri Kuma Arashi
This should be NO WHERE NEAR this list.
I'm sorry Yurikuma was too hard for you to understand. Here, let me spoonfeed you another generic LN adaptation...
I would actually like Yuri Kuma arashi if it made any coherent sense. Which is doesn't.
That's why some people watch it. It's not like most anime make much sense when all's said and done, so might as well watch a real mindtrip instead.
At the moment it is nowhere penguidrum quality so fuck off.
Which one of you is Dave Grohl?
no, you fuck off first.
Yuri Kuma is shit, but sadly fanboys will lick up anything with Yuri in it.
