Sony has released the results of yet another PlayStation 20th anniversary ranking, with this one quizzing (Japanese) voters as to their all time favorite PlayStation title – with even the might of Final Fantasy succumbing to the power of another great JRPG franchise.
The ranking, which sampled some 10,000 voters much like the preceding one:

Unlike western rpg when they give you to play 50+ old guy with beard ,moustaches and the coolest hairstyle ever bald. I stun.
Western RPG's are badass like Borderlands or Dragon Age. Jap RPG are emotional and feature preteens in sad emotional situations.

Unfortunately, the characters in that game were not emo enough for jap standards. The emo-est was jowy, and in most endings he got killed :P
Aren't there an ending where the three (Hero,Nanami,Jowy) of them journey the land?

Hm, some of my favorite games for ps1 are Bushido Blade 1, Legend of Mana, Front Mission 3, King's Field 2(NA)/3(JP), Monster Rancher 1, Grandia 1, Deception 1 and Breath of Fire 4.

Play Spec Ops: The Line, seriously. I will not say anything more, just... play it and restore faith. And Deus Ex, the original, if you haven't already. Just recharge.
Actually don't play that game, Spec Ops: The Line is essentially the "stop having fun" guy, much less the fact that you play as a grown-up version of Shinji Ikari doesn't help either.
Instead, I recommend Painkiller.
I recommend both. Spic Ops if you want a serious deconstruction of the military shooter genre, and Painkiller if you want to have a blast just mindlessly blasting swarms of motherfuckers with awesome guns that could only be made better if they had tits and were on fire.
