The latest preview for upcoming kanmusu anime Kantai Collection has been launched, showing off its daring choice to use the inescapable “school-life” setting which so enriches the world of anime.

Also I don't like this. Much like the Sonico anime, this work fails to realize that the original material is farcical as fuck.
They are not girls. They are battleships personified as girls. The correct way to make a KanCole anime is to go full parody mode.
Instead we are asked to accept that a little girl is allowed in school with a visible thong and a criminally short miniskirt.
It will still work. Kinda. Simply for the fanservice. Strike Witches did so and I loved it. But this one could have worked much better if it didn't take itself seriously.
We will see.
Kancolle anime would probably be somewhat interesting if they followed the 'Strike Witches' or the 'Girls Und Panzer'-style presentation. However, Kancolle is also full of in-jokes and it will be a shame if none of those are present.
Let every morning exercise become an impromptu race, because Shimakaze just won't stop racing other destroyers spontaneously! Let Naka-chan do the idol routine every time she is on-screen! Let KTKM and Abukuma keep crashing into each other, with Ooi in the back fawning over KTKM! Let Kongou thrash the mess hall because she was all out of tea! And let them all get their arses handed to them at least once by the Re-class Battleship!

lol so much butthurt, here let me help you, I have about usd 500 in preorders for kancolle figures and have already spent about usd 300 in the 1/7 aoshima I-19 , an akagi prize figure from sega and a couple of ship model kits plus a few artbooks, and I cant wait for the anime to be out, oh yes and I dont even play the game,stay mad bro
