You are mistaking "real deepness" and "artificial obfuscation of storyline". A little of obfuscation on storyline can make the anime a little bit deeper. But monogatari series is adding more obfuscation each season; and now is becoming a mere shadow of what it used to be.
Bakemonogatari was a good mix of action, mystery, reflexive moments and erotism. But newer sasons and spinoffs are becoming a messy combination of erotism, ankward silences and nosense scenes that could be part of an history if you manage to recompose the jigsaw
