Abe: “Islam Taught Japan Tolerance”

Naoki Inose Olympic bid

Japan’s PM has been praising Islam for “teaching Japan tolerance,” after having been dragged into cleaning up the diplomatic mess left by the Tokyo governor’s undiplomatic if accurate appraisal of Islamic nations as “fighting each other because the only thing they have in common is Allah.”

Abe could apparently think of nothing more convincing to say in praise of the religion of peace than:

“Japan has learned much of the spirit of tolerance from Islam [through providing Islamic nations technical assistance].”

His remarks come in response to Tokyo governor Naoki Inose having upset Muslims by commenting that “the only thing Islamic nations have in common is a belief in Allah, that’s why they are always fighting each other,” which was promptly seized upon by aggrieved Muslims and his domestic opponents as being “un-Olympic” in spirit, although Turkey itself seems to have magnanimously ignored the comments.

Inose rather lamely disavowed the comment by saying “it did not convey my true intent,” displaying none of his former boss Ishihara’s appetite for offending people.

Amongst actual Japanese there is some incredulity at his statements – although the more ironic reading is apparently lost on them:

“Nice follow through from Abe there!”

“This is laying it on way too thickly. They should actually take a stand against terrorism for once.”

“It is not really a believable follow through, he should have said they discovered zero or something.”

“The only people who say it is a religion of peace are those who know absolutely nothing about it.”

“Thankfully the Turks are being very nice about this.”

“Turkey and Japan, two nations united in being loathed by the world for their butchery. I guess they feel sorry for each other.”

“If they lash out at him for this they disprove his statement so it is kind of clever.”

“Abe’s believers are as bad as Christians…”

“Inose is too smart to just make dumb remarks like this. I’m sure he planned this. to advance his bid…”

“He’s an idiot for saying anything which might offend a pro-Japanese country!”

“The New York Times is just anti-Japanese.”

“Japanese reporters are just salarymen who write what they are told. Overseas they have actual journalists who write under their own names, and the opinions in a paper are not necessarily uniform. Totally different to Japan.”

“Honestly, he wasn’t being sarcastic was he? Islam must be the world’s second least tolerant religion.”

“Tell it to the Buddhas at Bamiyan.”

“Pretty sure everything Inose said in the first place was true in any case… Islamic nations are constantly fighting each other for ethnic and sectarian reasons. He’s right.”

Wrong. western journalism is worse. They push the agenda set by their bosses. Wonder why the media moguls are all involved with the Bilderberg group? They are the propaganda wing of that group’s agenda.

Obviously you have no first hand experience with jap media inner workings, or any media structures in that region. Their level of corruption and political cock-sucking makes our media seem like boy scouts.

Very typical of first-world posh kids to bitch about ‘political corruption’ in the west when they wouldn’t even survive 2 weeks in the same occupational environment overseas.

    • Anonymous says:

Lol yes this exist but only in tabloid/mass media if you go a bit off the beaten track and read actual newspapers with their own correspondent network and more than one editor who determine the editorial policy you actually get the journalists who write under their own name and their own opinion

The newspaper im currently reading never has a solitary opinion on important topics but instead many different ones from relevant scientists/personaltities forming a “discussion” kind of
Articles that are just the opinion of one person/journalists are markes as such.

But obviously its all a big conspiracy huh?

OK.. now if you add RT, FOX & CCTV. to the mix you might get close to the complete picture.

If you mix leftist british, rightish US, russian and chinese propaganda the truth might turn out to be somewhere within the blend.

The best example is Georgias attack on Russian troops in south ossetia… most western media (including the BBC) used to forget that Russias actions were a response to something that happened beforehand.

If you want to stick with British sources try janes, (JDW etc.) they had the full story on that one.

You obviously haven’t lived in Japan.

“Japanese reporters are just salarymen who write what they are told” IS a simple and obvious truth that you would have learned if you had lived there and put some sort of effort into immersing yourself in their culture.

      • Anonymous says:

so you mean that western media is better than that?.

i know very well that Swedish media(as a example) is controlled in the same way to push a agenda.

journalists are mindless drones which either copy foreign media or buy articles already written by advertisers. you rarely see a name under a article

If any turk heard this they would be laughing their asses off at such childish notion. The idea that japs, whose ’empire’ was bitchfucked in mere 4 years by America is in anyway equal to the ottoman empire that lasted for over 700 years is laughably amusing. These japs are so delusional.

Seeing this type of almost autistic mentality, it’s no surprise Koreans and Chinese are fucking them left and right.

I’m pretty ok with being biased against ideologies like Islam and Christianity. Try reading their holy books, they openly advocate things like slavery, rape and genocide.
If you want to keep praising shit like that, well, I’ll be perfectly happy to treat you the same way I treat nazi scum. Hell, their “holy book” is even a lot less violent and bigoted than yours.

Here’s some juicy stuff from the Cult of Islam towards unbelievers.

“Surely! Those who disbelieved in Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) We shall burn them in Fire. As often as their skins are roasted through, We shall change them for other skins that they may taste the punishment. Truly, Allah is Ever Most Powerful, All-Wise.” Sura 4:56

Threats of Jizya tax: Sura 9:28-9:33
Laughable compulsion in religion: Sura 2:256 & 109:2-109:6 contradicts their other scripts such as Sura 2:105, 3:85, 8:39, 9:5. That’s just their Koran.

Read the evil in their Sahih books such as Bukhari Vol. 9:57 “…Whoever changes his religion, kill him.”

Unlike the True Living God Yahweh, their satanic Allah is evil and isn’t a Savior. Ask any Muslims if their Allah ensures their salvation they won’t be able to answer other then it’s Allah’s will.

Watch for their trickery to change subjects and other things.

You know, this Yahweh guy has a funny idea of “saving” mankind when the only reason we supposedly need saving is because he himself punished a bunch of yet unborn people for something they had no control over. You’d think that for a perfect inflatable creature, he could have thought of putting a fence around his bloody tree.

Sounds like humanity needs less of his saving and more of being saved from him.

Seriously don’t take the actions of a few and think that the many are the same. The majority of the extremists are illiterate gits who don’t know enough about the world to be able to unlock the knowledge of Islam. Those who don’t know about the world cannot properly understand the Quran. Please don’t consider the majority of peace loving muslims the same as those gits/assholes who distort the teachings of Islam. Seriously, haven’t you guys read and watched enough stories where people end up alienating an entire group/country just because a few of them went wrong? Religion isn’t the problem. People are. Some people endorsed witch huntings all in the name of religion despite there being no such thing allowed. Muslims are going through a similar experience. And they’re growing out of it. But they won’t if others keep alienating them. Humans can only take so much before snapping. The rest is up to everyone.

    • Anonymous says:

I think it’s not so unbelievable that most Muslims want world to be place of peace & love, and extremists are just bad apples. Most people want to get along with others, or at least mind their own buisness if they can’t.

But you know, there’s saying: “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing”. If Muslims don’t step aganist extremists themself, things will never go better.

      • Likely won’t happen. Most of them are raised to be extremists. Someone once said that Islam is now where Christianity used to be around the Middle Ages. I always thought that was a pretty accurate statement.

        • Anonymous says:

“but I take it you’ve probably never even met a Muslim have you?”

It really wouldn’t matter much if he had because meeting a nice guy who happens to be Islamic doesn’t change the politics, culture or general behavior of the group in their own countries, nor does it mean he would remain a nice guy if he thought the battles of the old country had spread to yours and it was time to throw down.

        • Anonymous says:

Most??? You can’t be serious. Your statement could have been ok if you had said “a lot”, “many” or even “too many”, but not the most/majority of muslims.

On a related note, some islamic governments are referring to their own people as terrorists because they are trying to overthrow their corrupt regimes.

    • Anonymous says:

This isn’t about fucking terrorism. Inose said Islamic countries don’t have a lot of common culture except Islam which is why they’re constantly fighting. He never said Islam caused them to fight.

      • Anonymous says:

Traditional Islam isn’t very aggressive. Like medieval catholic Christianity it doesn’t necessarily teach what’s in the book…

The sura in the koran are not sorted by time of revelation but by lenght so unlike reading the bible an uneducated person will not know which statements are the last and therefor religious law. (and the bible generally leaves a lot more up to interpretation…)

Picking out sura quotes randomly can create the appearance of a “religion of peace”
But if you read the koran in the correct sura order you end up at a much more aggressive islam closer to Salafi, Taliban or the original teachings of Mohamed.
So the more educated you are about the Koran the more militant it will appear.

I don’t think there’s such a thing as teaching peace and tolerance via religion – in the end it’s all bullshit.
Ultimately, all religions without exception obliges their believers in something that contradicts other religions.
All of them has their own god or gods in which you have to believe while denying the gods of other religions.
Some religions might even have some sort of tolerance and peace-seeking in it’s official scriptures or sacred texts, but through a superior point of view – like you have to deal peacefully with non-believer because they are ignorants or something – which will always lead to conflict and war.
Most religions will ultimately call for violence against non believers, period. Most of them allows for believers to see non-believers as evil, as object of violence and attack.
The only real way of seeking peace, looking others in the eye, treating other people as equals, and looking for solutions that supports all sorts of beliefs without diminishing others is without religion. The only problem is that lots of people needs something to believe in, as a crutch, for the hardships of life.

    • Anonymous says:

This is what atheists say when they only know about three religions. I am an atheist but I know of more than just Abrahamic faiths. Generally polytheistic faiths are tolerant of believers of other religions. It’s only the belief which is a foundation of Judaism, and as a result, its derivatives that everyone else is wrong that makes them so intolerant of other beliefs (which includes morals; If someone believes something your Abrahamic God doesn’t believe, they are wrong and evil).

Learn, though. There are over two hundred different religious beliefs you can find on Earth and some of them are quite interesting if you like history or philosophy. If not, don’t bother.

      • Anonymous says:

I used to think it was just the Abrahamic religions that were crazy until just recently… various religions have been tearing eachother apart of centuries now in south asia, and just recently there have been entire communities of buddhists in Bamiyan that tried to ethically cleanse their country of muslims.

        • Anonymous says:

There’s no such thing as Abrahamic Religions. That’s a fallacy for those who haven’t a single clue, have an agenda or/and are an Atheist.

Islam is not a religion, it’s a cult just as Catholicism (Mary worship = idolatry). Judaism is a cult if they do not follow the (real) Torah ONLY. But modern Judaism follow their second (Oral) Torah which they fabricate and do lie that Moses brought it along the written Torah.

Christianity even those who branch themselves under that banner such as Mormonism, Jehovah Witness, Catholicism, etc or whatever group they are calling themselves to create division among one another is another cult if they specifically do not follow the teachings of the Savior, period.

Numbers of blind followers means absolutely nothing. See Islam, Catholicism.

The Living God did not create religions. ALL religions and cults are man-made and have no salvation to or of their own names. Except for only one. The path to Yahweh through the Messiah.

Now why would God allow this? Simple, He says it over and over. To separate the unclean from the clean. The Holy from unholy, The unsaved from the saved. Prove your worth and be saved by His Name through the already paid ransom that’s freely given or be a part of this forsaken World where it cannot and will not save you.

  • It’s pathetic how some americans (not all of them), are just plain ignorant and have their heads filled with shitty dumb thaughts about islam from the media, Islam is by far the most tolerant religion and the most organized and “clean”, half the so called muslims you see in the media aren’t even muslims, it’s the media for god’s sake, it fills your brains with crap and makes you believe in some nonsensical ideas.

seriously, stop making yourselves look like complete morons infront of the world just because you were fed some ignorant shit.

    • I’m not american, I’m european and I have experience with Islam. You know girls who want to leave that religion and marry a native. We have around 5-10 murder cases a year because of that.

      That is the reality.

I don’t know where the muslims are who are upvoting that BS. But try leaving your religion. Have fun being KILLED. That alone shows the intolerance of your religion. This is unbelievable.

But again I don’t blame the poor people who are born into that indoctrination. It’s the institution of Islam itself that is responsible. I hate religious institutions. Religion is the only way how good people can commit unspeakable crimes.

    • Anonymous says:

By saying Islam is the most tolerant religion, what religions are you calling intolerant?

Taoism, for comparison, has had (over a thousand years ago) a pair of female, lesbian priests live together live together without being married and being accepted. Islam isn’t OK with ONE of those things. (Female imams do exist, but they can only preach to other females)

Also, the amount of destruction of other religions’ symbols of worship in your religion’s history is what first turned me against it.

You could say that the Taliban were not following the “example of the prophet” when they destroyed the Buddhas at Bamiyan but that’s not true. Just remember the invasion of Mecca and the Muslim forces, at Mohammad’s command, seeking out and destroying “pagan idols”.

  • Anonymous says:

Islamists are utterly intolerant, and they will stop at nothing to destroy any culture/belief different from themselves. Japan is very naive, they can afford to be so because they have no real muslim population. I wish I was wrong, but if you understand where I am coming from you will agree..

‘Islamists are utterly intolerant, and they will stop at nothing to destroy any culture/belief different from themselves.’

Sorry sir, but this is completely not true. Do you know there are rule in Islam to spare the children, woman and praying place such as church, temple, etc. during war? During a frickin WAR!!!

Of course, it does not mean we love war, it is stated we only join a war after being attacked first, and always go for ceasefire if the opposition ask for it.

Also, “let there be no compulsion in religion”, this is actually a phrase taken from Quran.

We are not allowed to forced people to join us. Do your own research, and if seriously interested, then join us. We will accept you with open arm. Skin color, doesn’t matter.

    • Well, I agree, but that goes for all religious extremists, especially when they are monotheists. Puraitans were as bad as the taliban, Jean Calvin was pretty much a monster. Zionist are the same, no exceptions for judaism.

The first thing they do is blow up their own history.

  • Tolerance? Like the rule in that says if a muslims wants to leave the religion he has to be killed?

I’m sure the vast majority of muslims out there are good people, no doubt. But islam and infact all other religious scriptures are barbaric and allow for good people to commit unspeakable crimes. Being against a religion doesn’t mean you hate the people that believe in it but the institution itself.

There are two other things in the Koran.

Muslims shall obey and follow the law of the local land/ruler.

      Along with

Muslims shall not be ruled over by non-Muslims.

The second basically say ignore the former if the rulers are non-Muslims, otherwise why is it even in there at all. The former can’t cancel the second since it specifically address the issue of who the acceptable local rulers are.

Also, there are no forcing in being moslem. Its actually mention during the religion converting time, the oath taking session that you have to mention that you are not in any way forced into it.

Religion is also used like a placebo in a sense, as people feel solace in their beliefs and that helps to give them strength in their lives. It is also used as a way of growing and maintaining social ties. It can also be seen as a fandom, complete with blind fanboys and all that… except it is in something they see as non-fiction, not fiction, so it creates more powerful reactions.

When you put things that way, how do we determine we are not under the placebo effect.

I think you meant Sharia Laws. Sharia law is not mentioned in their book. If you love women see how Muslims treat theirs. They are less then cattle.

Read up on the extremists strategies of Jihad. You can even read it in their evil books. Here’s some samples:

          stage 1 —
When Muslims are completely outnumbered and can’t possibly win a physical confrontation with unbelievers, they are to live in peace with non-Muslims and preach a message of tolerance. We see an example of this stage when Muhammad and his followers were a persecuted minority in Mecca. Since the Muslims were entirely outnumbered, the revelations Muhammad received during this stage (e.g. “You shall have your religion and I shall have my religion”) called for religious tolerance and proclaimed a future punishment (rather than a worldly punishment) for unbelievers.

          stage 2 —
When there are enough Muslims and resources to defend the Islamic community, Muslims are called to engage in defensive Jihad. Thus, when Muhammad had formed alliances with various groups outside Mecca and the Muslim community had become large enough to begin fighting, Muhammad received Sura 22:39-40, see also Sura 22:39-40.
Although Muslims in the West often pretend that Islam only allows defensive fighting, later revelations show otherwise.

          stage 3
When Muslims establish a majority and achieve political power in an area, they are commanded to engage in offensive Jihad. Hence, once Mecca and Arabia were under Muhammad’s control, he received the call the fight all unbelievers. Read what happened in 9:29-

If you read it’s not to fight the oppressors but to fight those who don’t believe in Islam (ONLY).

Here’s basically what Ibn Kathir summed it up. Don’t know who he is? Look it up. He’s a Muslim.

“Therefore all people of the world should be called to Islam. If anyone of them refuses to do so, or refuses to pay the Jizyah, they should be fought till they are killed.”

Now,when a Muslim tries to convert you. Ask them if their Allah is a deceiver when Christ was crucified and killed. Watch some of them slither out of that topic.

Try reading My Kampf, or at least the parts where Hitler speaks about how he believes he’s doing the Lords work by exterminating the Jews, and then come back and try telling us that religion is ohh so peacefull and doesn’t cause problems.

You could also try reading some of Marthin Luther’s works on how Jews should be treated. Considering it reads pretty much as a manual for the Holocaust… gee, how could ANYONE get such a silly idea that religion causes any problems?!

Once again, these are examples of individuals, not of the religion itself. For another example, the Crusades and the witch hunts perpetrated by Christians cannot be blamed on Christianity. Those people had no idea what Christianity was about, they’re just using thier “faith” as an excuse to justify their heinous acts. If they simply took the time to actually study the book they professed to believe in they would have known what they were doing was in no way “Christian”.

        • Right. Because everyone who calls themselves christian is christian right? Its even written that u will judge them by their fruits and not all who call his name will he accept. So if there people doing evil shit an calling themselves christian only idiotic morons who are easily deceived will believe they are actually christian and use that as an excuse along with their vague historical references to denounce the entire faith. FACT is the history of christianity has done 100 times more good for society and humanity than it has done bad. No one is perfect not them AND NOT YOU and not secular atheists either or would you like me to list all the atrocities done by people with no faith at all? he’s a spoiler, it FAR outweighs bad things done by those evil christians and by anyone of practicing faith in any of the major religions COMBINED. Even now the majority of the work christians do include feeding poor, sheltering homeless, caring for kids, shit like that that you sure as hell dont do I bet while your busy arguing on a porn site about christianity and witch hunts. and sure sometimes bad things happen people expect christians to be perfect lol that says alot by itselt but when they do happen its not even 1% of the total work done by PRACTICING christians (not any random person who just says they are then does terrible shit for the purpose of making people who dont think believe the whole faith is bad). but of course there will be morons who dont look at any of the good, dont look at the 99% of good thats done every day, and focus on the 1% scarce stories they hear on tv and use witch hunts to justify their point and prove why christiany it evil. Really? 1% and which hunts? Why do I even bother.

“the book was intentionally written so that idiots wouldnt be able to to easily understand it”

So what you’re basically saying is that most Christians historically have been complete morons, unable to properly interpret their own holy book for about 1500 years? Cus you know, where the Bible reads “you shall not suffer a witch to live”, of course everyone understands that it shouldn’t be taken literally!!!

Well, everyone but most of Christians, through most of time, who actually believed that it meant that witches should be killed, you know, because that’s what it says, and thus went on to murdered a couple of tens of thousand innocent “witches”.

Hmmm… yeah, that sounds totally plausible, Christians had no clue about Christianity and Christian morals for basically their whole existence, because they couldn’t read the Bible properly! Yeah, sounds legit… if you’re a desperate Christian at least, who deep down know that your Bible is smock full of vile, evil shit.

        • “it is to be punished by death” tells me you don’t know what your talking about and dont understand the book yourself and talking to you is a waste of time. you take things at face value and don’t understand depth and reasoning. the book was intentionally written so that idiots wouldnt be able to to easily understand it (and the rest of us will be able to clearly judge whos a moron and whos not) and would draw the same retarded conclusions that you are. In fact that point is even written in it, bet you’ve never seen it and can’t find it hahah. know it alls and people like you are very easy to deceive and control you take a spec of information and think your now a fucking expert lolol.

Gee, of course Luther had nooo clue about Christianity, he only fucking created protestantism!
The witchhunts had some quite firm theological grounds, the Bible is very clear on the matter of witchcraft and sorcery – it’s to be punished by death.

Also, please try reading the damn book you claim that these people failed study. You’ll notice that it packed with pure fucking evil from cover to cover.
Slavery, genocide, mass murder, human sacrifice, incest, gang rape, everything sanctioned, committed or commanded by your own sick and perverted God.

Also Jews or Judaism is a religion. It isn’t what it as they exalted their traditions of man teachings such as their “2nd Torah” over the True Torah of Moses.

Also, Hitler was a Catholic quote the was. Another cult just like Islam. Catholicism cult and pagan traditions although share similarities with Followers of Christ it is not of Christ. As they worship and pray to Mary (aka Mithra) and such which is forbidden.

      • hey moron, if I massacre thousands of people for my own gain for my own reasons, but then I said Im doing it in the name of God, thats ‘the manual’ on how I get morons to turn against religion and blame it for everything. If I hate jews and I want the world to hate jews, Ill kill alot of people and say Im doing it in the name of the god of moses thats how I get morons to turn against the jewish faith.

By the way 99% of the things done in the name of most religions God are good things. Feeding the poor, sheltering the homeless, taking care of underprivileged children. Shit that I bet you don’t do and don’t want to do. Why don’t you look at the 99% instead of the 1% of extremists.

Just like the other idiot who replied to me talking about catholic pedophiles, do you know how many catholic priests there are? Tens of thousands, and because of the 1 or 2 stories you heard on tv religion is the cause of problems and all priests are pedophiles? Fucking sankaku idiots why would I expect intelligent people on a porn site.

And Martin Luther, yeah, he had some issues. But considering the time of everything, Jews were not exactly loved back then either. History is your friend. Not just little tibdbits you picked up on random youtube vids, but ALL of it.

  • If you believe religion is the cause of wars and problems than you’re just another blind idiot who believes everything the tv tells them while the people who really pull the strings laugh at your uneducated ignorance and take advantage of you and tell you how to think without you realizing it.

The cause behind all problems created by humans is actually pretty simple, the cause is “assholes”. It’s people who had crappy parents and a terrible upbringing. They sided with hatred and ignorance above any empathy, sympathy, or respect for other human beings. Any other reason for people doing crappy things is just a distraction from the real root problems. Islamic terrorists, for example, are just individual assholes united under a similar cause to unleash and try to justify the sicknesses within themselves.

    • While this is true, in their defense, atheists by and large are merely atheists only because it’s ‘not christianity.’ Nearly all atheists I have met and spoken to are petulant teenagers who knew enough to know that religion is a lie, but had no drive enough to research further into the world to find their own personal perception. They merely abandoned religion, called everyone in it stupid, and sit around with a smug sense of superiority, or a lackadaisical perception on anything spiritual, which hinders their own personal growth since ‘spirituality’ has nothing to do with religion.

I know this because I did it too. I’d imagine everyone who picked up on the lies did. Luckily I stumbled across information that proved there weren’t only the two paths in a short amount of time, but I can also understand those who aren’t around people who can easily help them find that pathway. So while all religions inherently are stupid, as are many of the people indoctrinated into it, there are at least some good people generated by all of them.

      • Anyone who says religion is stupid and religion is a lie is essentially no different than religion extremists who believe the exact opposite. Two sides of the same coin. Fact of the matter is no one can truly prove anything so being an absolutist on one side or the other is where you’ll find the truly stupid people.

        • I understand your argument and definitely agree to a point Taylor, however it too comes from the same lack of knowledge you claim of the people you describe. There are in fact those of us who have looked deeper, and researched the things we were afraid to know in case we may have been wrong. Ironically after years of research, I came to a conclusion that nearly everything about Christianity, save its original teachings, is nearly a complete lie, however at that moment I also realized that I had gone through a pilgrimage to come to that conclusion, because it meant I was in agreement of Christ’s teachings, ie Christian.

The things you claim can’t be proven is the same argument of most religions, however that argument completely leaves out the multitude of countless things about religions that we HAVE in fact disproven, or are inherently contradictory to anyone able to look from an objective viewpoint. For example, nobody can disprove your beliefs of a deity or what type of deity that is, however we can trace back the psychological reasons someone feels the need to believe in it even if the teachings of that very deity explain not to worship it in a way someone chooses to worship it, like for example an entire sect of Christians who drink snake venom because of one verse in the bible.

Other Christians would call them a cult, or fringe group, with no ability to self-analyze their own group’s inconsistencies or quirks, or even judgements of others that even go so far as to fly in the face of the very teachings they claim to abide by.

Now since this is consistent, worldwide, the concept that all religions are full of lies is not an exaggeration. Are there some truths and benefits peppered in amidst the morality tales? Obviously, but that doesn’t alleviate the fact that there are many fundamental untruths that the daily organized religions are based upon surrounding the theories and life styles the original prophets advised. Very, very few of them adhere to their beliefs in a way that follows them as they were taught originally. Anyone can see that if they look, and listen for any length of time.

      • Anonymous says:

Most of the time, when you find people discussing religion, it’s only for what finds its way into the realm of social interaction, like motivation and behaviors, because what’s left is nothing more than a hobbyist interest.

But that interest is its selling point, and so what matters on the general level gets irrevocably bundled with it for the use of the public perception. Soon it’s obvious that a specific trend in the application of ethics always has to go with a customary stance on eschatology and so on. And then all is grist for the religion’s mill – whenever you see a fingernail you are sure there’s always the head somewhere.

THIS ART of bundling unrelated matters together
is what religion really is. So, ABANDONING religion really means distancing yourself from this paradigm. I’m sure Dawkins knows this, but he’s being sly about it.

        • Pedophile priests don’t even makeup 1% of priests throughout the church and history of it. Just like convicted pedophiles dont make up 1% of the male population in general. What you’re saying is the equivalent of saying all men are pedos because of 1 or 2 stories you hear in the news. Statistically convicted pedophiles who were practicing faith make up less than a percentage of pedos. You know what the majority of them are? Agnostic/atheists. don’t believe me just look on sankakucomplex.com haha. Why aren’t you people ranting about the fact the overwhelming majority of pedos are people who are not practicing any faith? Aw, personal attacks! I don’t like child molester priests, thus I’m a retarded moron. How cute.

If you had a functioning brain though, you’d realize that what’s important is not how many % of the total amount of abuse cases are religion related, but how many % of the Churches that helped their pretty little priest stick their d***s into young defenseless boys.

After all, if you were running a little cult that performed ritualistic child sacrifices, no one would give a shit that your little cult only were responsible for 0.00001% of all child murders. That wouldn’t have any bearing on the fact that your cult was sick, perverted and pure evil.

As it turns out, child abuse is a lot more common among priests and church institution than it is in the rest of society. It simply seems that there’s something in your religion that draw in the pedophiles, or maybe there’s something in your scriptures that makes people rotten, who knows.
What is a fact though, is that the next time you see your priest at your church, know that he is a lot more likely to be a child rapist than the average Joe you meet on the street.

Religions alienate moral, incorporating them to their superstitions, so they can say “look, i’ve said something true and useful. I’m so legit.” (check for the whys of taboos : part common sense, part ridiculous). Wait… isn’t it basic trolling ?
