Photo Kano Kiss, the PSV version of girlfriend snapping sim Photo Kano, is proving popular amongst the usual suspects (i.e. those frustrated by the loud shutter sound effects their cameras are stuck with in Japan), with a full suite of sexy poses, skimpy costumes and low angles sure to please those for whom the anime is still not perverted enough.
It's pretty sad when Illusion (イリュージョン), an eroge company, has made better looking 3D character models for their PC games since 2006, as opposed to this other company making a quick tie-in to an anime on the PSVita in 2013.
Vita is not actually all that powerful. Many console ports to Vita had to suffer not only downgrade in graphics quality but also had some content cut. Look at Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, Dead or Alive+ or Street Fighter X Tekken(not the roster, but the graphics detail).
Illusion on the other hand has ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for developing on the PC. Even regular doujin 3D games are able to exploit GPU performance to make their games run at high framerate with plenty of objects on screen. Yet Premium Play Darkness still depends highly on CPU alone, doesn't even properly apply collision detection and needed backgrounds reduced to simple objects with shitty textures to get past 30fps on older machines.
Why compare PC games to PSvita games? Doesn't make sense. PC games have a lot of headroom for details and modelings, as opposed to PSVita's limited support.
my i7 whit a 660 runs EVERY illusion game without a cinch at full 1080 maximum detail, (and 660 is nowhere near the "most" powerfull card in the market)
Doesn't change the fact that Illusion games scale badly on older hardware. Also, do you not realize that they depend less on the GPU and more on your CPU?
Go ahead and replace your 660 with a recent budget card and see if your performance drops or not. Chances are your i7's doing all the work, and by using just ONE core too, in an age where parallel computing with at least 2 cores is becoming the norm.
Go launch any Illusion games with Task Manager running in the back and see for yourself.
It looks like the PSV game is an upscale enhanced remake of the PSP game, and the PSP being such a low resolution meant it was fine to have less polygons in places that don't need as much detail. Remaking it for the PSV probably didn't need much model touch up.
Probably why the models have some areas with with sharp edges. Those knees in #51.
Wow, actually the graphics is pretty nice for a handheld device. It nearly has photorealistic (hand-drawn realistic in this case) image quality, but maybe could use some AA filtering.
Dear god look at all those different designs of girls I fucking love it.
This is why I'm happy Sony's shit isn't region locked.
I don't really see a point in a portable since I don't go out but this makes me want a PSPV.
Why can't the anime have more scenes like these? It is supposed to be an adaptation of this game, after all. Can't anime be completely faithful the the source material even in this case?
"universally hailed as decent".
Wow, that's some high praise right there. Other than taking that statement right from your own ass, the first episode could generously... More
Now that's a spiritual successor to Pokemon Snap we've all been waiting for.
I'm still waiting for the mod to make Pokemon Snap into Pokemon Sniper.
shot ur 3DS with Dessert Eagle :P
Dessert Eagle? That sounds delicious. Does it come with chocolate sauce and whipped cream?
i think he means Desert Eagle as in the gun
That footplay... My D is 10 Mohs hard now.

#38 and #44, those giant polygons are pathetic.

he was comparing 3d models not so much the platforms
A) PCs are far more powerful than PSP
B) Illusion sucks at programming. their games are incredibly unoptimized and run like shit on even the most powerful PCs
C) At least with Illusion games you can actually see most of the content you're after since they are on an open platform instead of a major company's
you could say we've been WOOD BLOCKED

That's quite impossible since some of their games run on a single core only, and even the fastest overclocking can not handle it.
Go on. Play School Mate 2 with 3P mode and see how amazingly sub one frame per second it runs.
Ok let's make this clear.
1. This game was originally for the PSP. It was remastered for the PS Vita with added features.
2. It's a similar pattern to Amagami (originally for PS2, then remade for PSP with accompanying anime)
3. It was a lazy remaster, I agree, but it uses the gyroscope feature very well.
Ok the last one was just my opinion. But it's actually a good successor to Amagami (prefer Amagami girls though)
My Kaoru Tanamachi rules over both Photo Kano and other Amagami girls combined!
Console game can not be compared with PC.
It's like comparing a bicycle with motorcyle in terms of speed.
Polygontastic.
Its not an anime tie in... The anime is based on the original Photo Kano game.

yep, i hope they use psvita to it's full potential like one in Uncharted GA
They can't. Uncharted GA was built from the ground up to work with Vita, while this game is a mere upscaled port of its PSP version.
just my opinion, but for a game of "PSvita" I expected better graphics
Perverts demand quality fanservice in exchange for their money. You don't get Kagura level sales for crap polygons.
Hint1: ADV style (Visual Novel) games rarely reaches 100k level of sales.
Hint2: Huge bulk of the game is ADV.
I'd much prefer Senran Kagura series to this anyways. All the belles and whistles but with actually fun gameplay and more to offer.
What is this? PS1? or N64?...
PS Vita sux so much? No wonder it doesn't sell...
It's not Vita. It's games that suck.
Wow, actually the graphics is pretty nice for a handheld device. It nearly has photorealistic (hand-drawn realistic in this case) image quality, but maybe could use some AA filtering.
3D sexy character with a few polygons is meh
I prefer this game is ported to PC

DAMN YOU LANGUAGE BARRIER!

Their facial expressions are pretty humorous.
i want this game
OH LOOKY HERE! A BUNCH OF LOSERS THAT FAP TO SHIT AND PLAY IT! WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!
Vous etes des macaque manquer and loser!
Wow, this looks terrible! >_<
Half of these charaters will be converted over to mmd with in the year
well, no ? psvita file encryption not broken yet :P
and how is this relevant FOR ME?
A game for pervert... yet since it's on PSV, no pr0n.
OH WOW.
Someone who hasn't watched the anime.
To quote one of the club presidents
"GIRI GIRI NO EROS!!!!!!"
Seriously - was this made on MikuMikuDance?
Straight Title Robot Anime was :P
*watch NHK World today*
imagine-nation tv program right !?
Someone's bound to make a nude patch for this game eventually.
who knows
I usually go for the curviest body types, but that student council president looked hot somewhat.
Maybe it was the so called 'gap moe'.
