Where in the hell is Azumanga Daioh?
Azumanga Daioh is a slice of life classic.
Legitimately shit list without it.
Also misses my favorite, Genshiken.
Genshiken was fucking horrible, anime form at least.
azumanga was pathetically slow paced for a something that's based off a 4 koma...
over all im not surprised neither are on the list, just because something is a classic doesn't mean it was good.
azumanga, if the adaptation wasn't horrifically batched, would be on any top 10, but for fuck sake was it bad.
Yeah not legit without Azumanga Daioh poppin' up...
Plenty of clones and rip off's of it I guess, but yeah...

I am frankly more surprised by the absence of Hyakko.
Worse yet, some of the best ones are on the bottom.
I was glad Aria was on the list but now depressed because no Hyakko.
The 11s didn't like Hyakko so it wouldn't enter their mind much.

Lots of stuff in Genshiken was literally gay, but it was still an awesome series.

It would definitely have been great to see Genshiken and Azumanga Daioh on there though.

I'd toss Natsume Yuujinchou on there if the definition of slice of life hadn't been changed a few years ago so it meant "slice of almost nothing".
been a while since I saw anything, even pictures from A channel, makes me slightly happy it has not gone the route of most and forgotten after the season ends.

If only YOKOHAMA KAIDASHI KIKOU could get a single 1-cour late night series, then it would probably be more recognized. 2 short OVA series with 2 episodes apiece, and the most recent episode having shipped a full decade ago now, probably isn't enough for it to be remembered as an anime, though, if this were a poll of slice-of-life manga, I'd have every confidence that YKK would be right up near the top along with YOTSUBA&!.

YKK has two OVAs, I think they're two episodes each. I personally feel it works better as a manga, but the OVAs do have nice music.

I agree... ARIA is a masterpiece. But I think the fact that it doesn't have fanservice(which it sure hell didn't need!) is most likely the reason for its low placement.
Danshi Kokousei has no fanservice whatsoever, and all the main casts are male, while all the females are batshit crazy.
Take it you haven't seen alot of Mio's scenes.
K-On! has no fanservice either.
Minami almost don't have it, either. So does Nichijou.
Bad idea to use the word "fanservice" when people don't realize it means more than ecchi and nudity. Even if K-on is nothing but fanservice for people who like "cute girls doing cute things" anime, they'll never admit it because there aren't any panty shots.

Have Tamako Market be done by another studio and with the same story, and that show doesn't even sniff the top 30
