Dead Space 3? Also less violent. The same rating board gave the original PS3 version of Atelier Totori a "PG" rating for "Mild violence and infrequent coarse language", a full three ratings down on the scale, and I can't imagine much change in the new version. It kind of makes you wonder what the point of rating these games is at all if the ratings are so arbitrary and unreliable.

Fallout 3, Homefront, Resident Evil 4, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Bulletstorm, Saints Row 3, God of War 3, Gears of War 3, Metal Gear Revengeance and Dead Island were all edited for their Japanese release when they were uncensored in Australia. And they rated inFamous Z when others rated it far lower.

I'm happy we're getting the damn game at all, it could have been banned back before we had the R18 rating. Any kid can just import it for cheaper. Is it a stupid decision? Yes, it's rated higher than Farcry 3 and The Holy Mountain. Is it really effecting anyone from playing the game? No... if a kid wants to see Apocalypse Now, he can find a way to do so. If a kid wants to play this, he can import it, buy it digitally, buy the PS3 version, or get his parents to buy it. Should I insult the US because they banned Kinder Surprise toys and censored The Witcher 1 and Indigo Prophecy? No, it's not relevant, every country does some stupid inconsistent things, the MPAA is just as corrupt for wanting to make that film about bullying (which is important and kids should be able to see) R instead of PG-13.
