  You are getting it backwards I think. Being x86 and close to PC means that porting from console to PC won’t be difficult. This matter has nothing to do with how to write optimized code for console.   Why be pissed. Odds are when you have to buy your old ps1 and 2 games they won’t cost very much (ps store for example). Additionally remember when everyone bitched about the PS3′s price?
