China Menaced by Exploding, Collapsing Highway

henan-highway-collapsed-by-exploding-truck-001.jpg

An exploding fireworks truck has caused an entire stretch of Chinese highway to collapse, with two of China’s most notorious and frequent accidents combining with spectacularly tragic severity.

The Henan province elevated highway collapsed after the firework laden truck blew up, taking down the entire highway and the rest of its traffic. At least 5 fatalities resulted from the explosion and subsequent collapse.

In addition to the disturbingly explosive propensities of random Chinese objects, the usual doubts over whether the build quality of the highway exacerbated the severity of the accident have been raised.

There's a massive lack of rebar and steel netting
to reinforce an elevated span like that. They might
want to check the rest of the highway before that comes down too.
Doesn't anybody do road and building inspections
there or are they all on the "take".

True there should be at least five time more rebar then what I can see in the photo of the cross section.

I call shenanigans. This is a clever fake. This is not real China Quality construction. I don't see any styrofoam or compressed trash in the concrete. This was probably faked by the CIA or those dirty Koreans to embarrass China.

We already know the Chinese have been building every thing out of BlackPowder since the early post last iceage time, looks like they need to shorten the fuse used on all the bridges, buildings and roadwork to give someone a chance to put it out before it blows.

In China, perfectly safe + no bribe = no pass inspection. Perfectly dangerous + small bribe = 100% pass.

On corrupt goverment, do you realize almost every neighborhood in the usa has a block captain? Thats one secret service agent with a speaker that talks at dog hearing level but you can hear it in the subconsicous and while asleep? Want to see? look out the window every morning at 7am on saturdays at all the poeple who jump out to do exactly the same thing, mow wash the car, trim the busches, sweep the curb. The biggest brain washing expermiment in the world, right here in the good ole usa. Been going on since about 1962 from the Airforce looking to control people in countries they add airforce bases too so the people always have something else to do other than 'plot against the gov or airforce base'. Its a relative of the old police chief who does it in every city.

I'm fairly certain that building codes and safety standards as we think of them in the western world are virtually nonexistent in China.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if this stuff isn't being intentionally built to fail. China is artificially raising its GDP as part of some international dick measuring contest, so it wouldn't dismiss the possibility that they're building stuff to fail so that they can boost their GDP further by rebuilding all of it.

That's not how China operates. They create a company, create a sub-par service and gain extra money from skimming. When the job is done, they fire their employees and not pay them for some extra money, and then close the company. Take the money, and send it to someone in another country.

    It's all con.

Correction, they send most of the money to another country and use the remaining to start another company and repeat the process...

There's very little you can do about exploding fireworks anyway. In the country where I live (somewhere in Western Europe) there have in recent memory been a fireworks explosion and a gunpowder explosion. Both felled a city block. You cannot engineer against that, and even if you could, the cost would be unjustifiable.

So while we do everything we can being green it doesn't even matter because before USA even cared about going green and was the most polluted country in the world due to the massive amount of people and cars, The world was a greener place than today.
There reason is because one country ruins it for everyone.
    China.

    How do we fix it?
    Remove China.

The nuke age is over (unless you're in NKorea), so why not dispose the nukes?
    Where?

    China.
    Bomb it to the ground.

China is polluted as hell because they're stuck in a conundrum:

They NEED to maintain high growth or their economy collapses & the country falls into civil war.

They can't sustain their growth without turning their cities into a sci-fi nightmare.

Could they have avoided this clusterfuck scenario & still achieve a decent growth?

I really don't know. But it's too late now.

hey man, we didn't MAKE china into a shithole, they AGREED to open all those manufacturing plants and whatnot, hell they could've even asked us how to do it cleanly. and we didnt MAKE them give us cheap shit, we PAID them for it. Deals only work if both sides agree, and apparently china didn't do their homework. of course, all the people living there may or may not have been happy with it, but china IS a republic, right?.........right??

plus, we can always ask someone else to do it, and if that happens, what do you think would happen to all those people depending on that money?
