I went to get a haircut the other day and there was a newer girl there whom I’d never seen before. Probably right out of school. I sat down in the chair and she commenced to give me the most tender haircut ever. Usually the women are pretty brusque with their actual hair cutting, so its less relaxing and more just something you endure for a few minutes, but this girl, after using the razor initially for the side of my head, slid her hand very gently through my hair across my scalp, took the strands in her fingers and cut.

The entire haircut she was gently gliding her hands through my hair and I was seriously in heaven. It was just such a tender experience, I hadn’t really realized until then how good it felt.

For that reason only… I can sort of understand why people would pay to have this done.
