People hate on it mostly because it isn’t Survival Horror which is hard to pull off when you’re playing as a bunch of experienced fighters with lots weapons.

Resident Evil 6 fails as a Survival Horror but it’s a pretty decent action game.

Also, anyone who knows the lore behind Resident Evil and has enough foresight could’ve seen Resident Evil taking this direction if it was to advance storywise.

You can fill half a friggn library on the combat in EVE Online and you would still suck if the only thing you did was read it. It’s all about the actual game. Skills make kills.
