Comment on Top 30 Best Selling Japanese Games of 2012: “Not Again!” by Rene:

CoD has no strategy but Pokemon is effectively this:

Find one power move your Pokemon has.
Use it till PP runs out.
Restore PP.
Go back to step one.

Very rarely was I ever forced to use a different Pokemon in any Pokemon game. Especially when you over trained.

Maybe if you were teaching a simpleton. The way CoD and other FPS are set up is designed in a way to encourage higher level gain. When you hit the cap on the level, you have every weapon available and typically use the more powerful and accurate ones. There’s very little skill in underslung grenade launcher spamming or holding a choke point. It becomes a war of attrition rather than skill when a guy can run around the map knifing or quick scoping or ‘noob’-tubing. There was at one point a skill …

I’m not whining. Just offering my comments. In the comments section. Perhaps you should go back to trolling gamefaqs or Nexon forums.

I’m sorry but Pokemon is the same rinse and repeat. The changes are to the actual Pokemon but they aren’t for the better. The areas change but quite frankly it feels very…bland. The ‘gangs’ change but they may as well be Team Rocket with new slacks. Pokemon has been out of its prime since ye olde Red, Blue, and Yellow era. Mario gets interesting every now and then but stand back and take a look. It’s the same rinse and repeat. With polish and quality and craftsmanship. Mario games aren’t …

Pokemon and Mario. The overdone back bone of Nintendo. Compared to the original or actual good games, Nintendo can throw out fifty new Pokemon releases and 300 Mario games in the span it takes for a good game to go live. So…it’s no wonder they take the lead in the market.

Having exclusives doesn’t fix a consoles faults. It just means that a fanbase is attached and it boosts sales. Which sounds great, but it’s merely a bandage and not a fix. We need less bandages and more fixes. The older consoles were great because they were innovative and had amazing tech for their times. And that’s true for the upcoming consoles but it’s eclipsed because the developers are going ‘LOL FACEBOOK AND ALWAYS ON SOCIAL SHIT’ simply to grab more sales. But has anyone looked at their …

Both consoles will be a painful fail if they don’t remove this gimmicky bullshit and start focusing on the actual goddamn games. I buy a game console for the games. Not the fucking Cloud or to look at my facebook friends and their dipshit wall posts. You need to stop with that bullshit and get back on track. Stop trying to appeal to the lowest denominator and put more power and functionality into your consoles. Not gimmicks. So tired of this crap…

Trying to replicate 2D in 3D is your first problem. The second? A movie based on Anime that isn’t fucking ANIMATED.

Cards! Oh please Square, give me more card games for my phone/ipad/whatever because there is nothing better than a mediocre card game that will nickle and dime me to death! Meanwhile, I’ll just look to other game developers to, y’know, produce some fucking decent games.
