GM products are big in China, as are german luxury vehicles; however most people still have and use electric bikes for getting around. The only place that I can think of where they're not common is Shenzhen (and that's because they've been banned there). Other than that you still see bikes everywhere.

Typical in US? No. But has it happened before? Definitely. This kind of copy pasta can be seen here in the UK. Terraced houses lined up on a straight street uniformerly. We still get them now and again.

Simple search of google isn't that hard. But y'know...ripping on another is more fun than picking out our own flaws looking at some commenters here.

As much as these dwellings resemble a fucking POW camp, I'm sure they're a MASSIVE step up from the rural shacks that migrant factory workers came from.

For the first time in their lives, their shit goes into a toilet and sewer instead of a stinky hole in the ground.

Their water supply is sanitized and comes out of a faucet instead of a greenish-colored pond that serves as a dumping ground for some factory.

I live in china and I can say that many farmers now became owners of a 8 store bulding with small apartments that goverment exchange for their soils to build up roads and other stuff, maybe like that on the picture... must propably it's a must for the peasant to yield the goverment authority, otherwise they can just take the peasant down. I start to realize that the situation for many ppl of the countryside is not that bad as many think. But the goverment is messing a lot doing prospections and building up crazy new areas all around.

@PirateKing Issuing stereotypes and derogatory statements to solely target a nationality is a kin to being racist. As other pointed out, tract housing is hardly isolated to China but still practiced globally. Yet specifically when China participates in tract housing suddenly it is an outrage, “designed by a complete retard” housing to be filled by Chinese who “will be inhabited them like “ mindless little identical drones.” Then muse it would explode and how it’s all fitting for China. Clearly hostility is not directed at the housing but China/Chinese. Just because you have friends whos Chinese doesnt really recant a racist comment said. Even KKK members who are secretly descendants of African American, can be just as hateful.

So let me get this straight.

These are HOUSES. Built on BRIDGES. Which have ONE TO TWO support columns DIRECTLY in the middle of said bridge.

And these are even considered safe in the slightest? All it takes is a minor wind to literally blow down any of these.

Not your typical modern American suburb, but the first thing I thought when I saw some pictures was our 1950's suburbs. Take a trip to San Francisco, you guys. I am disturbed whenever I see those rolling hills of identical, pastel colored dwellings off of Highway 280.
