Incorrect the US bubble was over valued real estate vs a market glut.

Even cookie cutter Mc Mansions and mobile homes have far more variability then what I see in this housing project. Both are probably also much nicer and safer to live in. But then Chinese communist era architecture is generally very bland and unimaginative.

You get this crushing feeling of despair just from look at it.

  • Chinese Buildings Uniformly Disturbing:
True it does and the China building bubble will burst one of these days and it’ll be spectacular. Hopefully the people will still know how to make a living like they did two decades ago by farming and stuff for them selves when it happens and the land will still be arable.

  • Chinese Buildings Uniformly Disturbing:
If it catches fire the best thing to do would be to evacuate and let it burn it’s self out.

  • Chinese Buildings Uniformly Disturbing:
It seems the Chinese are selling off their culture, environment, and future for some quick money today. This apartment complex will be a crime ridden cesspool 20 years from now if it doesn’t burn or fall down first.

I’m shocked they actually believed people would accept that DRM bull shit. Common sense would tell you killing used games on a console would be a complete disaster.

It’s a shit economy and the rise of HR doesn’t help things at all.

I just choose Yaris because it’s a cheap no frills car like a Ford Fiesta,Honda Fit or Chevy Cobalt. It’s nothing fancy but it gets the job done and while getting 35+mpg.

Japan needs to encourage more startups and small businesses. Sometimes that’s what it takes to create new markets and break stagnation. That’s one big thing I noticed different between the US and Japan. In the US new companies are created all the time but in Japan it’s usually established companies that do everything. I think this is why Japan largely missed out on cashing in on the PC revolution and later the Internet revolution and now is missing out on commercial space flight.
