May be true, may not be but the only reason Macross Plus is on the list is because it came out on bluray recently. Any Japan list is dominated by what has been released in the past year or so.

BTW, the Frontier movies blow away anything Macross has ever done. The Daedalus attack in that is god-like. I’d also put up Klan’s revenge on the Bajira from the series higher than anything in Plus.
