Unfortunately you cannot take SankakuComplex as a good example of the average American. This site tends to attract a certain crowd.

There are a few people on here that display a great deal of insight but for the most part you can't really take most of what is posted as serious. Hell, even the articles are rigged to piss people off.

I come to the site to read about China's constant mishaps and to read the entertaining posts of the sites members.

Not to mention zoos in America would take a mugshot of you then kick your ass out of there and ban you from ever coming back. Also you would probably get arrested by the police and and charged with animal cruelty.

American Zoos take the treatment of the animals very seriously.

Never had a good carpaccio or tartare? As long as you take care prepping it you can eat anything raw. Meat picks up germs though unsanitary slaughter and preparation, it's not automatically going to give you salmonella. Eggs can get it on the shell which spreads when you handle and break them.

That's more of a Western problem. We tend to throw our values and beliefs onto non-Western countries. Americans do this ALL the time. For some astounding reason we think everyone should live like us and everyone is living in the sames social structure as us. Sad to say that Americans are known for their ignorance when it comes to foreign politics and ethics. Most honestly believe they can do better living in China under China's State rule lol. However they aren't as aggressive as say us Europeans. We wish for all sorts of violence and suffering upon non-conformists (have you people seen what goes on within football here in EU?).

Every country has it's own set of values due to whatever circumstances. Criticisms are fine, but people outright bashing and offending while trying to pass it off as "criticism" are truly ignorant and uneducated.

We're still better than the French and Americans I guess.

As you say, this site attracts weeaboos (and Sonyfags). So you can't expect any less from japanophiles. Anyone knows japanophile/weeaboo=hate everything not Japanese and hates everything the Japanese hate.
