Madoka was written by a genius/madman,but I wouldn’t go so far as to claim it did anything completely original. Characters have died in Mahou Shoujo animes before.(only difference was how it was presented-Urobutcher lives up to his name) Madoka had a very cool rival battle style of Magical Girl.Much different from the Team style of Precure,it was closer to Nanoha in the sense of her having a rival,only there were more of them. Animation was great and unique.Nothing too uncommon now and days …
