People keep using genderswap comparisons, which isn’t proper. For one thing, the boy isn’t touching genitalia. If he had, THEN you can say it’s the same as a little girl touching a man. Secondly, given the history of sexual abuse (and statistics), a man is more likely to be in a position to take advantage of the situation than woman would be. In this case, the woman in the photograph was doing it because of obligations of her employment. The whole if-it-was-a-guy-he’d-be-jailed-so-jail-her-too is form a lazy formulaic thinking that completely ignores the context of the situation.

The comment about race just confirms what people outside of Japan already suspect…that Japan does not really care about child sex abuse, but instead onlyt responds to it so as to not look bad to other contries that find it socially unnectpible (cimpletely discusting is more like it).
