There are actually multiple manga versions. so the artstyle is more based on ASAMI You version “Maoyuu Maou Yuusha”.

The one that most people are reading and like is done by ISHIDA Akira “Maoyuu Maou Yuusha – Kono Watashi no Mono Tonare, Yuusha yo” “Kotowaru!” , which is kind of disappointing that they didn’t went with this one.
