The least they could do is swap to eating utterly useless animals like pandas. Whales and sharks manage to contribute to their ecosystems while pandas just sit there.

But really, the killing, selling and eating of animals like whales, sharks and dolphins should be considered alright as long as it’s sustainable. People should be able to eat as much animal meat as they want as long as common sense or even laws regarding animal populations are put into practice, like how it’s done with hunting wild game such as deer.

On the economics side, is there enough actual demand for whale meat to warrant the supply being brought in?
