I like this. Somewhat similar to something I’m working on. Flooded Earth with floating mega cities. The ocean seems a bit empty. I wonder if they’re doing anything special with the laws and government in the cities. Seems to be focusing more on logistics. The way they make the main character arrive in the world “swallowed up into a distortion of time and space” sounds a bit too much like the easy way out to get the plot going, though…
