New Year’s well wishes from otaku have taken a new twist – with an envelope printed with a manga of QB quizzing Madoka as to her heart’s desire, to wish she responds with the name and Hamamatsu city address of the person she wishes her New Year’s greetings delivered to. Needless to say, the letter was delivered without issue.
The redacted envelope soon caused a stir on Twitter, with opinions divided as to whether this represents a new and unwelcome form of “delivery terrorism” or a charmingly original way of conveying “have a happy new year.”

Welcome to Japan, where you will be hated for refusing to jump off the cliff when everyone else is jumping off cliffs.
Pure genius.
That really is all sorts of awesome.
agreed, nice creativity for new years.
Delivery terrorism? How would people even know you were receiving it? It's not a huge package that they leave on your doorstep, it's a postcard slipped into your mailbox. People aren't going to be walking past your building and seeing you received it unless transparent mailboxes are the 'in' thing in Japan.
Japanese postmen are incredible gossips. Your whole neighborhood would know.
Just kidding..maybe.
Besides, wouldn't that "out" the sender as an otaku instead of the recipient? The sender decided which postcard to use, so he must be into anime, not the guy who got the postcard...
This. It's a freaking nengajo, an end-of-year season's greeting card, complete with lottery number on the bottom. It's completely clear that the only thing this would indicate is that you know an otaku.
this is brilliant, i want one!
MUMI WHY
One would think that If you knew someone well enough to send them a card, they wouldn't mind you being an otaku.
I thought the terrorism lied in the fact that Madoka is essentially dooming herself to a horrible life as a mahou shoujo in exchange for you to have a happy new year.
I didn't ask for this...
What's the problem?
This article is confusing. Where did the letters come from? Who is sending them? Exactly what do they say? Why would anyone consider this delivery terrorism? There is a lot of missing info.
It can be deadly in the wrong hands?
Certainly more creative than those online card services
I understand the gist of it, but did anyone else have problems actually reading this?
At least it wasn't a death note.
ACK! I just wasted my one wish on a crappy postcard now that hairy eared cat owns my soul Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
GOD OF TROLLING!!!
How is this related to terrorism again?
if you really dont understand,
then read the other articles on sankaku regarding delivery terrorism.
btw we need lost of pictures of this in the Gallery, I mean there is no Delivery Terror there right now....
If would you give a fuck on what others think about the stuff you order?
If you feel you have to hide it, then just stop it.
