Have to agree.

Bakemonogatari was one of the best animes I’ve seen in a long time and it was definitely the best of the series.

Bake’s visuals, characters, story and animation were top notch and it had just enough fanservice to make it interesting, but not vulgar. The impression I got was that it was definitely more about the story than the panties.

Nise felt like just the opposite. Too much fanservice, not enough story. I’ve only watched the first ep of Neko, so far, and I get the same impression I got from Nise, more fanservice than story.

Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy fanservice as much as the next guy and I have little problem with fanservice based anime. But, when the original is one thing and the sequels become another, well, it just feels like they’re selling out to me.

  I hate everything about monogatari except Black Hanekawa. In fact I hate regular Hanekawa worse than I hate the whole series. Though I actually adore Black Hanekawa. I even have 3 statues of her.
