Lists like this, you know, are the reason why anime not get called anime anymore. Nowadays, even many otakus themselves, just call it “Animuu”.

To me, this reminds me of a black people who like to call themselves “ni**er”. Try to figure it out yourself why.

You missed Summer Wars, and this is the only one I know apart from The Disappearance – and I prefer the latter any day of the week. I was disappointed with how the premise of SW was being implemented from almost just after the very good start. Something far more serious and convincing was in order. Plus, most of the characters, main girl excluded, give off a very repulsive aura, almost like it was some western production.

What makes NGNL good isn’t the overall plot of them winning all the games, but the humor. It was funny watching and even caused me to laugh out loud a few times, something that few recent series have managed. Also, the main chars in NGNL aren’t overpowered, it’s actually the opposite – the “only” skills the main chars of NGNL have is being very good at games, primarily intelligence, knowledge and tactical sense, and to some degree hand/eye coordination. Meanwhile they are going against enemies …
