Dismissive of the value of novelty then?

Think of Hayate, but also remember some shops don’t admit people with soiling street food she might just be eating. She could also be guarding stuff bought elsewhere, if it was a self-service supermarket or something similar.

looks like no ink was wasted in this abduction attempt

either you dont haver kids, or you never were a kid. Otherwise you would know TONS of places that kids usually dont like to go to. For me back then it was usually the Barber-Shop.

in the uk kids are left outside of shops all the time so that part of the story doesn’t surprise me

I wouldn’t use the same derisive tone, but I’d have to agree that the vast majority of anime out there is bland, uninspired and repetitive. Not that American animation is much better, I just think people need to stop holding their crap up as if it’s some holy icon while they bash another culture.

The art of fighting anime of kinda like fanservice of the non-sexual kind, that’s all. It was just fun and it’s not like it had much story to work with to begin with, so I felt it did a fine job of adapting what it had to. As a fan of the games, I enjoyed it… it was entertaining and had some good laughs and cool fight scenes.

For you they would need more than that, for a fan, cool fight scenes can be enough. They did well as merchandise and fanservice. Like I said, they were “cool”, and I’d go ahead and say all anime adaptations of fighting games fit that bill well, with SF2:TAM being probably the most well made of the bunch.

@13:15 That must be why Americans love Japanese girls, thanks for clearing that up.

To top it off, some fanservice in this would only be keeping faithful to the games, actually. It has to be expected (too bad for haters of ecchi, but it’s true), even more especially if the glorious Hoods is behind this, lol. I hope we at least get a few occurrences of ecchi, but I’m sure even a few will have quality.
