Asuna comes from a filthy rich family and got first class treatment. This includes regular electrical muscle stimulation, a massage mattress and lots of other bullshit. Kirito got the basic version of that, too, which is why he was able to move at all after waking up, but not quite on the scale Asuna did.

Anyone else laughed when Aincrad popped out of nowhere in ALO? I swear I was hearing Jaws theme playing in my head when Aincrad drifted into view.

Never read the Light Novels, and I don’t need to. I know there is the Gun Gale Online Storyline, but as for the Anime, I think Sword Art Online/Alfheim Online storylines ended pretty well than most anime does nowadays. Hopefully when they release sword art online that they do it in Blu-Ray/DVD Combo of 5 or 6 sets than 2 set collections or 1 complete collection. I rather it be in a Madoka Magica L.E. part 1 – 3 collections where it was affordable.

A skinny 17-year-old stops a much larger adult with one hand when he comes down on him, right.. Kirito should be dead.

Fails for absence of: 1) Tetsuwan Atom (Astroboy). Tezuka’s masterpiece. Re-imagined twice. Both brilliantly. 2) Space Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers). As popular in Japan as Star Trek is in the US and currently having its original series completely remade 40 years on, and brilliantly so. Three TV seasons and five movies from 1974 to 1983, and more recently an animated continuation movie (Resurrection, 2009) a live-action movie (2010), and now the aforementioned remake of the original series …

It’s a sign of Post WWII social-economic system collapse for Japan and rest of developed countries. For example there’s is no such thing as a middle class families, where you could afford a condo or house, cars etc pay for by having a decent job, those are good old days now. It is now a winner takes all society.
