Best ending i've seen in 2012.
Definetely a good one, but I'm holding the decision about which deserves the "best ending" title until I see Sakurasou's ending.
and here i thought sakurasou would be 2 seasons...

Try watch "Fate/Zero" my brother, it's a real man anime.
It seems you've completely missed the point of Fate/Zero.
In the prologue, it said that anyone harboring false illusions about their "magical heroes" as nothing more than tools is setting up for death and defeat.
The despair that the characters are shown serve to show the harshness of reality and failed dreams, something Urobuchi is competent at writing, in Fate/Zero and Madoka Magica, and to a lesser extent Psycho Pass.

took 12 eps to say what was said in the title of a single movie... a vastly superior movie, might i add.
Well I thought it was extremely generic and lame. More like, I could see it coming ever since episode 2.
I mean, the title tells you they end up together- but to say you figured out how the series would end come the 2nd episode? Before one of the major plot elements was introduced?

That was a damned good ending.. and I'll admit to shedding a few tears. I'm so gonna buy the DVDs.

I was kind of hoping Rikka's sister and family would get told off for being fucking selfish in the last third of the series. Only thinking about what would be easiest for them to cope with instead of Rikka's own happiness. It's her damn mom's fault she resorted to behaving like she did in the first place.
Guess it's nice to know I wasn't the only one thinking that.
Incredible show, probably more than people were expecting. I approve of this method; it helps to weed out the people who see char. designs, animation company, "moe look" in this case, etc and have them drop a show, and it leaves the heart of the show for the people who stick with it to fully enjoy it.
Weeks later, all you hear is haters on here saying "moe show is shit" etc. while we're secretly laughing knowiong we got a gem of a show and they're left with naruto and bleach fillers to 'complain' about.
See that's their problem, their just bitter that their X and Y shows are the same ol' stuff day in and out and can only vent to us here trying out new shows every season and getting entertained.
Which makes me close with whoever hasn't seen Chihayafuru, go torrent/DL it now, because you are so definitely missing out there if you haven't seen it. so "Dont let the card game fool you," the show is full of goodness half of other shows can only dream of. :)
