Any doubt about To Love-Ru’s popularity in the wake of its recent censorship debacle was erased by the huge crowds it managed to draw in Akihabara with only the promise of a free (and rather plain) mouse mat and a trio of cosplay maidens – according to one witness the queues “were even longer than the ones at the Wii U launch.”
Countless thousands (although presumably someone kept count of how much stuff was given away) of To Love-Ru fans turned out in Akiba to get their hands on free To Love-Ru Darkness mouse pads being given away in support of the show’s much anticipated disc release:

I doubt even half the fans of To-Love-Ru read it for the amazing story writing. If you're like me, I just love the girls and the art.
The reason why I love To-Love-Ru is because it exemplifies why ecchi can be an art. He can always come up with new ecchi situations that I'd never even thought of before and has an amazing knack for art. Even when I don't look at it for its sexual nature, the it's still a really fun manga. It's hard to describe, but ecchi is amazing in that when it's done perfectly, it can make me really happy, because it's for daydreamers like me.
Basically, this is an ecchi manga that does everything right (except maybe story pacing). I can't wait for the blu-rays.
