All of them are translated in english. I’ve read enough of them to know that I don’t really want to finish reading them.

I don’t think that would make any difference. Read a translation of “Psychologie des foules” from Gustave Le Bon to figure out why. It’s from 1895, but still holds true. Basically, every decision you make as a group is equally bad. Doesn’t matter if that group consists of geniuses or idiots. It’s an interesting read that will probably change your life forever.

The point is to give everything that doesn’t look like utter garbabe a chance. You don’t actually have to finish watching it to know you don’t like it. For most shows around three minutes are more than enough to figure that out.

Some shows you don’t need to watch to know they are bad. Like you don’t actually have to ever eat shit to know it probably tastes really, really bad. Or maybe you tasted shit before just so you can confidently say something else tastes like shit too and you know from experience.

Wrong. There’s not that much anime out there. It’s around 5000 if you discount crapfests like Gudaguda Fairies. The number even goes down to ~3800 if you exclude music videos (~300) Bonus episodes for DVD/BD (~500) and other weird stuff. From personal experience I can tell you that it takes around ten years to watch 3000 anime. So it’s completely doable.
