Probably not impossible. I mean, if they could get some rights from the author’s estate, and preferably a serious amount of author’s notes that could help any continuation look slightly less like a glorified fanfic, it could be doable.

    Are they sure they’d like a sequel? Or would they prefer some of these pull off an FMA Brotherhood or Hellsing Ultimate, having a complete reboot that follows the source material more closely? Yumekui Merry and some others would likely benefit from such a move.

    You sure about that? Because I’ve been paying a LOT of attention to the Japanese side of both the Madoka and Nanoha fanbases (mainly via Pixiv, but also some NicoDouga and 2chan), and it seems to me like the dark co-stars get quite a bit more loved than the titular characters.
