I'm surprised that everyone is missing how the writers are portraying free love and especially homosexuality with what seems to be a very conservative Buddhist social outlook. This is highlighted when they compare this type of societal love to that of what apes have, more specifically bonobos. Am I the only who sees the writers shinning a negative light on this culture's morals?

Huxley blows away Orwell with Brave New World or any writer attempting to capture the future at that time.

what got me annoyed tho is the strange turn of events, i mean it was clear as day that shin and saki had something going on during their younger days, and satoru always showed his signes of jelousy. heck satorus jelose actions were directed in a way to make him look like he was trying to impress saki, so how in the hell did he and shin become butt-buddies. not to mention the obviouse oddity of everyone forming same sex couples, in the anime at least its like the authour/director completely forgot about coupling of different sexes.

Lol at your getting voted down. It's true, the girls watching this don't mind the yuri at all, while the male viewers are freaking out like crazy at the yaoi. Just stating the facts. I'd rather not see any BL either, but the decent thing to do is enjoying the yuri while ignoring the yaoi without making a fuzz.

I correct myself, I just ended the first volume and there's no yaoi action between Satoru and Shun AT ALL (and no so much yuri either ,apart from the scene of pic 50 to 53, ot's just some breast grabbing action -bath time-)

@JustLemonz For how much I've read : more yuri than yaoi and the anime is really different form the manga (manga: you actually do see Reiko beeing killed by the Faze cat and the teacher appear on the scene , during the summer camp they don't encounter the niseminoshiro and didn't have their canti sealed nor they learn about the "truth" and they don't get sepaated before meeting Squealer and his queen (pic 50 onward are from after they reach squealer's colony).)
