    Um, it’s 1/4th the size of the Xbox 360 power adapter. It’s not only cheaper for the manufacturer, but the consumer to have an external power supply. If it needs to be replaced, it can be done cheaply and easily. If it was inside the system, it would have to be sent in or replaced entirely.
