“Top” 25 Worst Anime of Summer 2012

The conclusion of the summer 2012 anime season also sees some effort by anime fans to determine the very worst offerings of the season, a determination which is sadly all too difficult to make given the number of contenders available this time around.
The ranking, intended to include all anime airing during the season:

Ranking aficionados will of course note the usual paradox of popularity inherent in such a ranking – a title has to be popular in the first place if it is to be hated widely, as awful titles nobody bothered to watch in the first place will easily be worsted by highly popular titles, whose small minorities of detractors outnumber those who have even heard of the lesser titles.

Of course, Eureka seven AO wasn't placed in the 25 worst (it was 26th...) because it actually has plot.
It placed 26th because nobody cares.
As someone who places Eureka Seven as probably the top three best anime I've ever seen, I care a lot. However I refuse to watch this season until it's done.

I swear arcana famiglia is the worst anime ever, they set up with a pretty good plot using the first episode, and everyone has their mysterious powers, but damn the dude responsible for writing whatever happens next deserves to get fired
I couldn't agree more with your take on it. The first episode had all the makings of a great series (despite the many cliches in it), which is then immediately followed by complete trash episodes. I stopped watching after 5 or so. Should be near the top for worst anime.

Well that show was good fun until they decided to try to put some dramatic plot around ep 6 and the end and... it was so badly made it ruined the rest.

Actually Accel World was one of the most popular animes in japan this summer, you just got a bad taste.
Popularity doesn't make it good. Were that the case, Naruto would be the best anime in the world.

no, accel world was pretty damn terrible. i gave it more than enough time, and dropped it after like 5 or 6 episodes.
No, right off the bat it was interesting. You're locked in a game, people are going to die with no ability to see the real world again. The show was thoroughly entertaining and a lot more mature than I ever expected it to be. If you're bored, you're bored, whatever, but it wasn't "terrible"

No,Only first half of Aw is better than SAO... Second arc a.k.a Nomi arc is totaly shit, and that fillier with Kuroyukihime, It was only for perv otaku who wants to see Hime in bikini..

AW was one of the best animes last season. Much better than it's elder, SAO.

So the anime which are terrible enough that nobody watched them are outranked on the terrible anime list by anime which people HAVE watched, which makes those anime less terrible than the anime which is listed as less terrible than them and oh no I've gone cross-eyed.
When I saw that Yuru Yuri had one Best anime in the Kobe Awards I knew this was coming a mile away.
