yeah i think so, the show itself is not to blame, and it has never disappointed.
ecchi, delivered well, can be just as good as hentai. in fact, considering how crummy today's hentai is it's not difficult to create higher quality stuff without having to go all hardcore.
sadly, today's ecchi hasn't delivered well in a loooooong time and is just as crummy as today's hentai. both have predictable and unoriginal plots, both have scenes and situations we've seen 10000 times before, both have obnoxious characters, and both fail to satisfy.
Things lose something when they become hentai. You could have a to love ru hentai and tbh I probably wouldn't give a flying fuck, but ecchi shit, heck yes.

I would not be terribly surprised if the fans decided to boycott this series and/or AT-X out of spite.
I mean there's gotta be SOMETHING on in that time slot on one of the other channels that doesn't engage in deceptive advertising, like the local weather report or Sham-Wow infomercials. If I wanted to watch a program without shadows, steam and beams of light blocking the stuff that I'd like to see, that's what I'd watch.
Of course, otherwise its literary integrity would be at stake!

Naive, very naive. Ishihara wouldn't let Darkness be uncensored on TV no matter what, after all the mocking author of Darkness to Ishihara's censorship laws, it was bound to become light beam.
Considering AT-X have never once claimed it would be uncensored and that the adverts for it never carried the "age restricted" note that uncensored versions tend to carry, I really don't get the point of this article.
Those of us who subscribe to AT-X have known all along that this would be censored. That's how companies roll these days when they want to push DVD and BD sales. If they allowed AT-X to show an uncensored version right away, they'd loose their biggest incentive for peddling those stupidly over priced collections.
It's time to accept that this marketing ploy isn't going to go anywhere as it works all to well and idiots with more money than sense are all too happy to keep funding it.
