Humans like violence the most. Why did humans create Pokemon, that fight each other? Why do we play war games, fighting games, action adventures etc? Even every RPG has you kill “monsters”. 90% of all games have some sort of violence in them. Why do people like horror movies? Why are there even horror movies? Why are there haunted houses and stuff like that?
That’s just the human nature, violence and sex, that’s what we truly enjoy. We love destroying things. If god didn’t give us a conscience, we would just kill each other off for the sake of killing or at least for profit.
But because of this conscience we normally don’t live out our nature in real life but in games, books and other virtual media. We even make some violence to be good to silence our conscience, like destroying evil, killing “monsters”, being on the “good side” in a war…

If you think about it, humans are pretty messed up creatures, aren’t they?
