I stopped watching this after ep 5. Not that it's bad, but all the skipping and jumping around the plot made me think it's pointless to watch this without having read the novels. And they killed the poor little scared Sachi... couldn't forgive it.

The novel only skips around the timeline, but takes its time in the chapter/title unlike the episode. I noticed that the episode skip certain part/scene that was in the novel.
Nah, the skipped part is just not important and have no direct effect to the main storyline. They covered the important part just well.

I really like how Asuna and Kirito are so lovey-dovey, and get plenty of scenes actually showing this. There are too few anime that do this imo, at least among the ones targeted against males. For example, I'm still miffed that we never got to see Tomoya and Nagisa kiss even once in neither Clannad nor Clannad After Story. I like romance between the main male and female characters in these kinds of shows.

Most likely, since the next 2 episode will surely cover the end of SAO world. My biggest concern is how can they cover the ALO Arc in only 11 eps?
Technically, I think 85% of ALO Arc's storyline in the LN is very important and directly affects the main storyline. I just can't see how they will skip them.. oh well.. let's just sit and watch..!

Either way, the central shounen theme of the underdog overcoming all odds to become the best with spirit and guts isn't present. Kirito is the strongest right from the beginning.
He's overcoming something else then.... he was afraid of opening himself up, well he's overcoming that.... and even if he was strongest, he may not have even known it.... so same thing as starting out weak.
