Ushijima Iiniku “Just An Old Hag Dependent On Photoshop”

The latest princess of Photoshop to be causing controversy is none other than top ero-cosplayer Ushijima Iiniku, whom detractors decry as “nothing but a Photoshop dependent old hag in her forties” – though for once, the not inconsiderable discrepancies between some of her photographs are hard to ignore.

As part of their mission to uncover egregious use and abuse of Photoshop amongst idols and cosplayers, Japanese Internet denizens have recently been lavishing particular attention on notoriously toned “net idol” Ushijima Iiniku – no stranger to controversy, having already scandalised Taiwan, got herself banned from Comiket and cultivated a small legion of detractors aggrieved at the defiant attitude she strikes on Twitter:

Not since Kipi has a cosplayer’s purported reliance on Photoshop proven so controversial (although idols are another matter) – commentators on 2ch in particular have been attempting to determine just how reliant on the fine art of photo manipulation she really is:

“Her Photoshop skills are amazing!”

“You only realised this just now?”

“I cannot believe that is actually her…”

“Horrible.”

“It just makes me sad.”

“She’s just an old lady…”

“The guy who does her shops has some serious talent.”

“If this is just her without makeup, it’s not bad!”

“You fool, that is with makeup and gussied up to the max! What is left is the final transformation.”

“It must be tough editing the movies too.”

“She still looks cute in the movies though!”

“She has appeared in live movies and still looks cute!”

“Come on – without any editing in those movies her face looks comically bad.”

“Funny to see all the supporters of this old lady come out of the woodwork whenever anyone criticises her.”

“She’s really been getting desperate to sell her name lately.”

“On top of being ugly her personality is that of a total scumbag too.”

“As soon as anyone criticises her she exposes their Facebook or who they work for…”

“She went after anyone who posted unshopped pics of her at TGS. Such is the nature of Photoshop.”

“And she dug in after making trouble in Taiwan and never showed a shred of remorse.”

“The basis of most cosplayers is a personality defect though.”

“Her whole thing is to never admit she was wrong or to apologise for anything.”

“Such an immense drama queen!”

“She’s just some perverted old exhibitionist hag.”

“Haters! I suppose this is another form of marketing for her though.”

“She’s just some softcore idol. She never actually cosplays any characters, does she?”

“She’s the kind of ugly girl you can still get off to though.”

“A self-proclaimed 28-year-old who must be past 35 at least.”

“But is this down to shopping or is she just hot?”

Unlike Kipi, Ushijima is not about to take any criticism lying down (or perhaps is terrified of the truth getting out as some have claimed) – she apparently made legal threats against a number of sites posting exposés of her Photoshop work in an effort to suppress any discussion of the matter, and being Japanese they rolled over without any fuss – though 2ch continues its policy of ignoring any efforts to tame it with mere litigation.
