Dude! As a kid, I had a little Tamiya race car with holes for those corner guide wheels and a motor by "Mabuchi." I had to build the gearbox from plastic parts that came with it then oil it, and it had a driveshaft that ran along the bottom... I've seen a video of them racing once before, along a little course with walls around the edges to keep them on track.
Does anyone know if those cars have a more descriptive generic name than "mini 4WD?"
Me too! I didn't think that toy line was still alive. Such nostalgia...and I can actually buy them now instead of begging my parents for one on my birthday!
