I have a different bone to pick with the logic of this anime. OK, I can accept that it will kill you, and that there is no way to disable it.

BUT, how the fuck did that thing get MADE and SOLD is beyond me. Nobody asked themselves “Hey, why does this thing have enough power to kill someone?” or “Hey, shouldn’t we test every part of this thing that CONNECTS TO YOUR BRAIN?”.
