Actually, the islands do have gas reserves. That’s why Japan wants them. But I honestly don’t think China cares that much about the natural gas, so much that they want the islands just because Japan does.

The best comment I saw about this was on a Chinese blog. Complaining that while Japan arrested the Chinese Trespassers, and thus sticking to its claims on the islands. Chinese coast guard/navy didn’t arrest the Japanese who went to the island, and thus didn’t hold their claim. I agree, the Japanese Govt. not standing up for its territorial integrity is laughable and appalling.

Nintendo would rather “remake” old games and sell them in their online-shop (didn’t the Wii do that already?), than making their console retro-compatible.
