And the reason pricing is like that in Japan is because they try to sell to otaku at outrageous prices. Because they sometimes do buy it. Who else is gonna pay $50-100 per disc? Not your average person, that’s for sure. They are specifically and purposefully targeting low volume, high price.

Yeah, I’m watching it now and it’s going downhill already. It’s not bad just yet, far better than ecchi shows like Familiar of Zero and Astarotte’s Toy, but the first four episodes were clearly better than 5-10. Consistency isn’t a quality of modern anime. :(
