Japan only has a self-defense force as a result of the WWII, so it is not like Japan can invade S. Korea no matter how pissed off it is. Also Japan would be at an disadvantage to fight any wars considering that they might have a problem finding enough people in the right age group for a large enough army without killing their work force.
