This isn’t about politics it is about what is a social norm. Tatoos had a stigma attached to them in the very recent history of most western countries, just because they have become acceptable there doesn’t mean the rest of the world has to follow suit like mindless automotons. Tatoos are a choice people make and in a country like Japan they know the social opobrium attached to them. Acting indignant or angry about things that people have done to themselves is just silly.
