That’s the Western culture of “dating” for you.

Remember the times when people we gathering to party at home? Literally no money were involved.

IMO the trend is the same and unchanged: generation gap and definition of “home” have changed, forcing teens/tweens into freaky denialist state of “independence while living with parents.”

  Ditto. Had several chances to compare movies in native 1080 v. 720 – and couldn’t see any difference. Unless of course I watched it from a foot distance. SD to 720 is a noticeable quality jump, but IMO 1080 isn’t worth the disk space.

  Wow. Moeblobls, now not only ultra boring, but also in ultra resolution! Rewatching now the Black Cat, in SD. Not particularly good anime, but better than most of the current HD stuff. FMP also somehow doesn’t suffer from the lack of the resolution. If they wanted to improve something, then they should think about true 60fps animation. Not the current standard 12fps. Action would gain tremendously from the higher frame rate.

• Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Quite Spectacular:
  

  Do not remember anybody complaining about the graphics of the previous FF. Probably they should have elaborated on game play instead.

• Top 50 Anime of 2012:
  

  Yes, that would be definitely interesting. Then compare the results with the AniDB and ANN scores! IMO polls are the most missing feature here.
