Usually it takes a few hours to go from a story that shows a truly selfless act that makes one have hope in humanity, to one that makes me think the person in the first story selflessness is wasted on this batch of humanity. Now both in one serving! Though we will never know, hope the kid at least has a good life to restore some kind on balance ...

Another thing i will add is this. We went out to dinner, me and my freind + her and her freind. Went to a nice small japanese place in a alley way. Anyways her freind had too much to drink and was totally wasted ( Punked into a plastic bag) She couldn't stand up so we helped her walk out to get a cab. An elderly japanese guy approached us and i thought he wanted to help as well. He ducked down, took a photo and walked off. I was thinking WTF, do people actually do that? Anyways her freind said it's kinda normal here. I am not here to judge but that is kinda selfish as well don't you think? Yep those are my stories from my trip to Japan, i have plenty more to tell! I do love the country and will head back there again next June!

I went to China to visit my relatives and i could go to SC no problem it wasn't blocked by any firewall. People need to give China a rest i don't get how people are so negative and troll online. I went to Japan and i had a wonderful time over there, everyone is super freindly. I got lost and asked this girl for help, she took me to the train station, brought my ticket and waited with me for the train.

if they couldn't help their own son, how could they have helped a larger man? you don't "help" a drowning person by getting in with them, you toss them a flotation device. barring that, you tie some quick knots in a rope and toss that to him. or just use a rope with a loop in it, and have the drowning person wrap it around them. now, the people were bad for leaving and not caring, but if they were too stupid to help their own son, i'm not sure they would have been much more help to this guy.

I don't think it's normal to give your life away for someone you do not know even if it's a child. What if the child becomes a bully, thief, drunkard, molester, murderer or some other fucked up piece of shit when he grows up? Better not take any risks especially if you're doing well in life.
