I don’t think a reporter was on the scene, direct live, during the action. This must have happened in some shithole in the middle of nowhere.

So this is just the work of some wannabe asshole reporter who tried to gain some recognition by writing nonsense tabloids.

  Madoka didn’t deconstruct the genre through. Even if that was the idea, the only thing that got deconstructed is the idea of overly trusting innocent wide eyed idealists. If you want to deconstruct the genre, you only need realistic 14 year old girls instead. Bonus points if they end up kidnapped, turned into lab rats, and their powers reverse engineered for burly supersoldiers who fire automatic rifles instead of friendship beams.
